Our Programs
Employment Training
Tree Trust has a variety of training programs for youth and adults with special needs living in the Twin Cities metro area. These are actual work or service experiences. Some pay wages. All help participants learn basic job skills while they serve their communities by carrying out community projects. Our training programs are well-known for the quality work our trainees do in the fields of landscape installation, landscape construction and tree care.
Urban & Community Forestry
Tree Trust's forestry program provides training and technical assistance for schools, individuals and organizations on the uses, care and benefits of community trees in the urban natural environment. The program brings together community volunteers and natural resource professionals to plan and carry out projects that improve the community's natural environment and particularly their community forests.
Landscape Services
For more than 25 years, Tree Trust has provided quality landscape services at no cost or low costs for Twin Cities' communities as part of our employment-training programs. Now Tree Trust has established an earned income division -- Landscape Services -- that sells these same quality services, competitively priced, for both public and private property managers and contractors. The goal of Landscape Services is to earn income to support Tree Trust programs, while providing advanced training and employment for graduates of our young adult job training programs.
