St. Louis Park Tree Sale

The tree canopy of St. Louis Park's private properties is dwindling. For every new tree residents plant, five more trees are lost to storms, pests, and disease.

In 2009, the City of St. Louis Park has partnered with the St. Louis Park Chapter League of Women Voters and Tree Trust to make it affordable for you to reforest your own yard. Please do your part to restore the city's tree canopy by planting one of these trees this May.

Things to Consider

Please review these considerations before placing an order for a tree.

  • Only residents of St. Louis Park are eligible to participate in this program.
  • You may order a maximum of two trees, but you can only order one at a time.
  • It’s the law to call Gopher State One Call at 651-454-0002 at least three days before digging. They will mark buried utility lines for your safety.
  • You may not plant your tree on the boulevard (between the sidewalk and the street).
  • In order to reduce future problems, large shade trees (oak, elm and maple) should be planted at least 30 feet away from nearby power lines, buildings, and/or driveways.
  • The City of St. Louis Park will host a tree workshop at 9:00 AM before their Arbor Day celebration at on Saturday, April 25 at Westwood Hills Nature Center, 8300 W. Franklin Ave.
  • A brochure detailing proper tree-planting methods will be available when you pick up your tree.
  • If you need help planting your tree, please contact Jim Vaughan with the City of St. Louis Park to arrange for assistance. His phone number is 952-924-2699.
  • There will be no refunds for trees that are not picked up or for trees that die.

Pick Up Your Tree!

If you order a tree, you must pick it up on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at:

7305 Oxford St.
St Louis Park MN 55426

Please note:

  • The pickup time listed on the paper order form is incorrect. The correct pick up time is 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Volunteers will be available to help load your new tree and complimentary bag of mulch into your vehicle.
  • Trees may be as much as 10 feet tall, so be sure to bring a suitable vehicle.
  • If you do not pick up your tree on the date and time indicated, you will forfeit your tree and the money you paid for it. If you'll be out of town, you can have somebody else pick up your tree for you.

Choose a Tree

After reading all the above considerations, please choose a tree.
