Young Adult
This year-round, 6-month landscape and construction training program serves young adults, ages 17-24, from Hennepin County, who are no longer in school or who attend an alternative school. Participants can gain experience in:
- project design and construction
- safe and proper use of tools and equipment
- certification in construction safety and skills
- property maintenance
- career exploration and education options
- job search and application skills
YACC participants work full-time and receive a salary during their training. Upon completion of the 6-month training program, a Tree Trust counselor will assist clients in obtaining full-time employment in a related field.
